Paul Vixie has proposed a cooling off period of up to one month. That means even though you’ve paid for the domain, you can’t host a site until some bureaucrat says so.

We recognize that perhaps Mr Vixie sees his idea as a way of generating income for a business in which he may have an interest.

His domain purchase cooling off period however, equals blaming the prevalence of obesity on the easy availability of knives, forks, and spoons.

We in North America are fortunate to be able to start a business for the price of a domain and hosting, typically less than $100.

Yes bureaucrats and politicians do everything they can to prevent business, while they continue to manufacture ways of leaching away every cent possible. Still, we don’t have to pay a local warlord $50,000USD merely for permission to open a fruit stand. Let’s keep it that way.
